Showcase Your Commitment to Quality on Your Web Site

January 2, 2008

Informing the people you serve and their family members about your organization’s commitment to AAHSA Quality First will help you become the provider of choice in your community. What better way to educate consumers than posting information about Quality First on your Web site?

Here are eight easy ways to showcase Quality First on your Web site:

Place the AAHSA Quality First Logo on Your Home Page
Place an AAHSA Quality First logo on your Web site’s home page to demonstrate your commitment to the program. You can link from the logo on your Web site’s home page to a Quality First information page on your Web site.

Include Quotes from Your Leadership in Support of Quality First
A quote from your CEO or Board Chair about Quality First demonstrates that the organization as a whole is committed to Quality First. Please refer to Why AAHSA’s Leaders Support Quality First for examples.

Create a Section to Explain Quality First
An Overview of AAHSA Quality First provides a summary of AAHSA Quality First and how it can help you achieve excellence, earn the public’s trust and become the provider of choice in your community. Use this document as a guide to explain Quality First to consumers.

Highlight your Signed Covenant
The AAHSA Quality First Covenant, signed by your organization, is a public commitment to achieve excellence and earn the public’s trust in aging services. Post your signed Covenant to your Web site as a reminder to consumers of your commitment to quality.

Use the 10 Elements to Underscore your Good Work
Talk about your organization’s accomplishments in relation to the 10 elements of AAHSA Quality First on your Web site. Add specific examples of how your organization is accomplishing each element.

Demonstrate your Commitment to the Community
Stress your organization’s commitment to its community by creating a fact sheet and posting it to your Web site. Visit the public trust section of AAHSA’s Web site to find tools to help you in this endeavor.

Emphasize the Advantages of Not-for-Profit Care and Services
AAHSA members are different from other aging-services providers and what makes AAHSA’s members special is their commitment to not-for-profit, mission-driven services. To find out why this difference is important, please read Aging Services: the Not-For-Profit Difference.

Post AAHSA's Consumers’ Guide on Your Web Site
The Consumers’ Guide to Quality Aging Services helps consumers make the best decision for their long-term care. Placing it on your Web site provides them with information to make careful and informed decisions about what services and facilities best suit their needs.
