Reports and Research

Read AAHSA's Housing Report
The Housing Report is a publication written for AAHSA's housing members. This report includes information on housing policy, management and operations.

State of Seniors Housing 2005
The premier research report on seniors housing operational performance, this report includes data from over 116,000 units in 579 independent living communities, assisted living residences and continuing care retirement communities. This valuable resource has a list price of $125, but is available to AAHSA members for $100 (AAHSA Bookstore Item #SH001).

Research Helps All Seniors Find a Place to Call Home
Several members joined forces with the Institute for the Future of Aging Services (IFAS), AAHSA's policy and applied research arm, to act on behalf of low- and modest-income seniors who want to age in place. They are acting on the widespread belief that purposeful programs can link seniors to services often already available in the community, and may also delay the need for more expensive assisted living or nursing home care.
