Attending AAHSA Conference Helps Professionals Imagine the Future of Aging Services

The American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging's 2005 (AAHSA) Future of Aging Services Conference, Apr. 3-5, 2006 in Washington, D.C. will offer more than 45 education sessions designed to help attendees imagine what could shape the future of aging services.

“AAHSA’s Future of Aging Services Conference is a unique learning and exploration opportunity for today’s aging-services professional,” said AAHSA President and CEO Larry Minnix. “By attending a wide range of education sessions, our members can imagine how policy, research and technology can best be leveraged to shape the future of our field.”

At the meeting, participants can attend sessions on technology, financial management, culture change and disaster planning. Attendees will also meet with their legislators on Apr. 4 and discuss the issues that affect the work their organizations do for older adults, including Medicare, Medicaid and affordable senior housing funding.
