Company Background
A family-owned business since 1967, Matthews Buses began as distributor for Thomas Built School
buses in upstate New York. The company has since expanded into the small to mid-size commercial
bus market throughout the United States, and owns and operates service and manufacturing facilities
across the east coast. The Matthews Group is a manufacture and national distributor of specialty
type vehicles such as bloodmobiles, bookmobiles, and mobile classrooms. They also manufacture
air conditioning systems for small conversion vans right through full size tour buses,
and install customized options not available on production assembly lines.
