A Partnership with Promise: The Aon Quality Institute

AAHSA recognizes the challenging landscape its members face. To help aging services providers more effectively deal with the risks they encounter everyday, AAHSA has teamed with Aon — the administrator of its Property/Casualty Insurance Program — to develop a new Web-based risk management tool.

These new on-line risk management course units are available ONLY to AAHSA Property/Casualty Insurance Program participants. This new enhancement to the program is not only educational, but eligible members will receive a 10 percent credit on their general liability/professional liability premium.

As the population ages, the demand for quality aging services continues to increase. While periods of growth create operational challenges, aging services providers remain focused on resident safety. Aging services facilities are creating a culture of trust among their residents, their families, and the public. Their paramount interest is the health and safety of their residents.

AAHSA and Aon have developed the Aon Quality Institute course to support the focus on resident safety and help manage operational challenges. The risk management recommendations in this course may be used to evaluate a facility's current risk management plan and implement additional initiatives where needed. AAHSA Quality First encourages members to go beyond ensuring that minimum standards are met to focus on how they can continually do better. Risk management — strategies and techniques to recognize, manage and reduce potential risks — are important part of continuous quality improvement.

The Aon Quality Institute will continue to be improved and expanded and additional announcements will be made for courses for Middle Management and Line staff.

To receive the premium credit, Senior Management Staff (CEO, President, Executive Director, HR Officer, CFO, Chief of Operations, Medical Director, Risk Manager/Chief Risk Officer, etc.) at all insured locations must complete the three (3) available Aon Quality Institute on-line risk management course units and achieve a score of at least 70 on the three course unit post tests.
Enroll in the Aon Quality Institute now.
