Graduate Education Programs
AAHSA is working to involve its membership in recruiting and referring potential leaders to affiliated graduate programs in the Aging Services field. AAHSA is also working to identify committed and outstanding aging services Mentors/ Preceptors interested in ensuring that students entering graduate Aging Services Administration programs have opportunities to obtain superior post-graduate education (Fellowships) necessary to be successful leaders. At present AAHSA is working with seven university programs in Long term care administration.
Specifically, we are seeking preceptors/mentors who offer one-year graduate or post-graduate fellowships in Aging Services administration to prepare students for leadership in the field and for state nursing home administrator licensure exams. The fellowship preceptor will pay students a stipend between $25,000-$45,000 per year depending on location, leadership potential and experience.
