About AAHSA

The members of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (www.aahsa.org) help millions of individuals and their families every day through mission-driven, not-for-profit organizations dedicated to providing the services that people need, when they need them, in the place they call home. Our 5,700 member organizations, many of which have served their communities for generations, offer the continuum of aging services: adult day services, home health, community services, senior housing, assisted living residences, continuing care retirement communities and nursing homes. AAHSA's commitment is to create the future of aging services through quality people can trust.

2008 Call for Nominations
Nominations are now being accepted for AAHSA officers, board of directors, 2009 Nominations and Awards Committee and House of Delegate-at-Large.

2007 Accomplishments
In 2007, AAHSA helped members proactively address numerous issues facing not-for-profit aging-services providers. Reimbursement, survey and certification, along with tax exemption, housing with service expansion and workplace ethics are just some of the issues we’ve tackled this year on behalf of our members. We’ve provided information, tools and innovative models to help your organizations survive and thrive. Together with your state association, we’re here to help you “live Your story” and advance the not-for-profit mission that has stood the test of time.
